Before joining the Baker Boyer team in 2013, Kain built a strong foundation in software development and technology innovation. He spent nine years at startups focused on mobile software, followed by four years at Microsoft, where he helped develop cutting-edge technology solutions that advanced usability and performance across platforms.

As Chief Technology Officer, Kain leads the bank’s efforts to strategically analyze, implement, and optimize technology systems that enhance security, efficiency, compliance, and user experience. His goal is to leverage technology to create lasting value for Baker Boyer’s clients and strengthen the bank’s operational resilience in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Dedicated to community service, Kain actively volunteers and contributes to local programs supporting the Walla Walla community, applying his leadership and problem-solving skills beyond the workplace to help foster local growth and innovation.
