Originally from Dayton, Matt returned to the area after 20 years in Southern California and a successful career in professional sports management and sales. After short stints in minor league baseball and hockey, Matt made it to the big leagues of the NHL in 2005. There he worked for 17 years in a variety of roles with the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, including 10 years in managerial positions. He joined Baker Boyer in 2022 as an Asset Management Associate, then was promoted to his current role in 2023.
In addition to advising clients on their retirement and investment accounts, Matt oversees the bank’s 401(k) portfolios and other employee benefit plans. That includes partnering with local business owners and employee benefit administrators on customized solutions. With a desire to go above and beyond for clients, Matt seeks to provide a comfortable and convenient service experience in an otherwise hectic world. He collaborates with clients to understand their financial goals, map out strategies to achieve them, and deliver peace of mind to know their needs are met.
He looks forward to becoming involved in public service in Walla Walla. Meanwhile, he enjoys time with his wife and daughter, golfing, poker, home renovations, and visiting new restaurants, breweries, and wineries.
