Before he joined Baker Boyer in 1999, Ted worked with financial firms in investments and 401k plans.  His interest in the markets, and investing came from growing up with parents who emphasized the importance of planning for your financial future. His more that 20 years in the industry has given him deep expertise in investment management and retirement planning.

In his role as Portfolio Manager, Ted researches the market, chooses which firms to invest with and builds portfolios based on his client’s needs. These portfolios represent dreams, goals, and wants for the future, often specific to each client.  He then partners with a team of D.S. Baker Advisors to implement the financial planning needed to help them reach those goals.

Ted is active in supporting youth education, health, wellbeing, and sports by serving on the Walla Walla YMCA and Children’s Home Society boards. He currently serves on the Walla Walla Endowment Board and volunteers for Junior Achievement. Previously, he coached youth basketball and baseball.
